The most famous attractions are on your itinerary:

  • Break off your own twig toothbrush
  • Identify animal footprints
  • Build a fire without using matches

DAY 4 & 5
Nairobi-Amboseli
After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park.
En route, stop over at the Ostrich farm where children can open, prepare and eat an ostrich egg while learning interesting facts about the giant birds. The day’s highlight is a ride on a tame ostrich! Have lunch, and continue on to Amboseli for an evening game drive and beautiful views of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Your time in Amboseli includes game drives, swimming in a heated outdoor swimming pool, and visiting a Maasai Village. This fascinating Kenyan tribe still retains its ancient culture, and will greet you with singing as you enter their compound. You may dance along and compare your jumping skills with the male warriors (the Morani). See their homes (manyatta) and schools, learn how to start a fire. Ask questions as you experience their traditional way of life. This is an experience in true African hospitality.

DAY 6 & 7
Amboseli-Sweetwaters
After breakfast, you will fly to Mt. Kenya. On the way to Sweetwaters Tented Camp, stop on the Equator, where children see special demonstrations and get an Equator Certificate. At Sweetwaters, visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary founded by Jane Goodall. Watch the animals entertain with funny antics as park rangers feed them; take a boat ride on the river to see more chimps playing in the trees. Then visit other rescued animals, such as Morani, the tame black rhino, and Caroline the warthog. Interacting closely with the animals makes this a unique experience, and your visit supports their survival. Enjoy a nature walk with your naturalist/ guide, a special late night game drive to see the most elusive animals, and an optional camel or horseback ride. Visit the ‘hands on’ museum to learn more about the animals in the park.
