8 Day Morocco: Imperial Cities

The most famous attractions are on your itinerary:

  • Visit the famous Kasbah, scene of numerous movies and adventure stories
  • See ancient Taroudant: 15 centuries old, it is known for its attractive Souks and historical monuments.
  • Marvel at Old Tangier (Tinghir) and its historic market.
  • Make a deal Marrakech, one of the world’s most famous bazaars.
  • Take the route through a pass in the Atlas Mountains
 
DAY 1  
AGADIR
You’re met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2  
AGADIR/ TAROUDANT/ TALIOUINE/ OUARZAZATE
Early morning, after breakfast, make a short visit to Agadir City and the Kasbah with its panoramic view of Agadir. Then continue to Taroudant through the Souss Valley. Finally arrive to Taliouine, a famous village with its fields of Safran. Then it’s to Ouarzazate.

Dinner and overnight included.
DAY 3  
OUARZAZATE/ ZAGORA
Today, you will travel the Kasbah road. After breakfast, continue to Zagora through the romantic Valley of Draa, with plowed fields, fruit gardens and palm trees.

Dinner and overnight in ZAGORA included.
DAY 4  
ZAGORA/ ALNIF/ RISSANI/ ERFOUD
After breakfast in the hotel, the road will lead you through a panoramic view of mountains holding rivers and Kasbahs to Tazzarine. Then you arrive at Alnif and Rissani after passing by the Oasis and the stony area of the Sahara. Continue to Erfoud by Caravan.

Dinner and overnight in Erfoud included.
DAY 5  
ERFOUD/ TINEGHIR / OUARZAZATE
After breakfast, we depart to Tinghir, situated in a wonderful Oasis with its beauti Kasbah and its historic Market. Then visit Col-Todra through narrow streets, with their terraces of houses situated in both sides. You will also enjoy the sight of splendid rocks and savage yet romantic caves. After midday depart through Kelaa (M'gouna) and Skoura known by their rose gardens.

DAY 6  
OUARZAZATE/ MARRAKECH
Breakfast at the hotel, then start your visit of the two famous Kasbahs Taourirt and Tifoultout, once the residence of Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech. The city tour leads us later towards the famous gigantic village Ait Ben Haddou. In the afternoon, you will pass by the Col of Tizi-N'Tichka through the High Atlas Mountains (Altitude 2260m).

At night, arrive in Marrakech, the ancient City of the South.
 
DAY 7  
MARRAKECH
After breakfast, visit the 11th-century City of Marrakech for the whole day. A fascinating place of ethnic groups, Islamic/Arabic architecture, and unforgettable color. Visit of the Souks, where Moroccan handicraft is on show in the open air. This, plus the square of Jamaa El Fria, Saadien Graves, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Menara Gardens is the heart of Marrakech.

Dinner and overnight included.
DAY 8  
MARRAKECH / AGADIR
After breakfast, return through Chichaoua and Imin-Tanout to Agadir. Even on this last day of your trip, you will discover wonderful sights. On your arrival to Agadir, you will fly or be transferred to the hotel chosen for your stay with your Shades of Africa agent.
