Doctors and Medical Care
Surgeons, Physicians, flight nurses, pilots, a fleet of aircraft, ground ambulances and a 24 hour Emergency Communication and Response Center comprise the famous Flying Doctors Service. It offers medical evacuation services to critically ill patients in remote areas. Related services include surgical safaris and specialist outreach programs in East Africa; the radio communication network, the 24-hour standby emergency personnel and free medical evacuation and transfer flights for the poor. The service is supported by subscriptions to the Flying Doctors' Society of Africa.

Gratuities
We’d like to make your trip as pleasurable as possible, so there’s no need to figure out tips for waiters and staff while you are away on your African adventure. For Kenya and Tanzania, we’ve taken care of all the gratuities you would pay along the way, except for the kind consideration we ask that you give your Shades of Africa Driver/Guide and Naturalist (tips for Camp staff and Children’s Activities Coordinator also not included).
